Simplify It Sunday

Just taking a breather here and thought Iโ€™d share some thoughts as I looked at my crazy Inbox this weekend. I switched to Gmail last year and things just keep moving down as they come in, until they turn the corner and head into the โ€˜olderโ€™ page (ie: Siberia). Where they get forgotten. So yesterday, I deleted a few messages. As in, a few hundredโ€ฆ

The Trees of Provence Will Sleep a Little Easier Tonight

Thereโ€™s a lot to be said for the street foods of Provence. Iโ€™m happy to snack away on scourtines, wedges of pissaladiรจre, and soccaโ€ฆexcept when I make a beeline from the airport to my favorite socca shop in Nice only to find FERMETURE EXCEPTIONELLE in a note on the door. Itโ€™s a fairly common occurrence in this part of the country, where life is farโ€ฆ

Scissors

In a world of kitchen gadgets gone amok, there are some that look cool, and some that might make you look like a fool. When you live in a small kitchen, things get pretty brutal, and when natural selection kicks in, only the essential equipment survives the cut. Yes, my mixer and espresso machine get a disproportionate amount of space, but only because I useโ€ฆ
