Being an American of suburban descent, Iโ€™d guess theyโ€™re those marshmallow cookies with a graham cracker crumb base. I canโ€™t remember what theyโ€™re called, though, and the internet isnโ€™t helping.

Looks like a Pinwheel or a Malllo-mar to me. I too am of American subarban descent.

Yeah, looks like marshmallow in a canele tin filled with chocolate.

Hm I will guess candies/truffles disguised as canneles?

Sorry not very creativeโ€ฆbut damn they look just like canneles!

Since they *arenโ€™t* what we all think, Iโ€™ll guess itโ€™s a new donut-like thing; Iโ€™d say from an American chain, like Krispy Kreme, except I donโ€™t think they have them in Paris. And yet, I hink youโ€™d appreciate the irony.

If you slide your mouse over the picture you see the filename: canelles-inparis.jpg. Is that a clue?

i vote for cannele candles too. to suffuse your home with the lovely scents of vanilla and caramelized sugar. without, you know, actually cooking.
