L'appart

This Wednesday, April 4th, Iโ€™ll be at The American Library in Paris as part of their Evenings with an Author, in conversation with Alec Lobrano. The event starts at 7:30 pm and will be followed by a book signing; books will be available for purchase, and youโ€™re welcome to bring previously purchased copies. The talk is free and open to all. See you there!

When will you be next in Italy?
Are you planning a 2018 presentation in Italy.
    Thank You

There arenโ€™t any events planned in Italy but if there is a venue that would like to host me, they can get in touch with me and Iโ€™d be happy to come! (I love Italy.)

A friend Christine Hickman has a cooking school in Perugia.
I will contact her and family in Rome and Umbria.
I am confident we can arrange a vist and venue to accomodate your busy schedule.

I am currently listening to Lโ€™appart as an audiobook. Cโ€™est pas mal.

Iโ€™d never quite believed my brother-in-lawโ€™s stories about building out an attic space near Sancerre. It seems he may have understated the troubles he had. And heโ€™s rather type-A.

Iโ€™d put your fish-out-of-water / travelogue / cookbook on the same shelf as Innocents Abroad, or any of Bill Brysonโ€™s books, should audiobooks require shelving. Very enjoyable.

I just read lโ€™appart while I was in Spain for a few weeks. I enjoyed it.

I am a semi professional remodeler and I have a question.

Considering, all the petty raggitty ass french bureaucracy that you had to go through, it would seem to me that the French should have building inspectors.

I most cities in the US a building inspector would have flagged the drains that went uphill and most of the electrical problems.

Does Paris not have inspecteur trice du bรขtiment ?
