That is that weirdest pie Iโ€™ve ever seen.

    I love it.

(Yes, Iโ€™ve led a sheltered life.)

The pie is from the Kraft foods web site. I canโ€™t believe that itโ€™s truly that color (and no, I didnโ€™t Photoshop it). Actually, for advertising, they have to use โ€˜realโ€™ food, which is a very, very scary thought.

I realize Iโ€™m about 5 months out of step with your post, but I canโ€™t help it. I have been unfortunate enough to overhear someone next to me at the supermarket checkout see the picture of something similar (the pastel version?) on the usual women-are-suckers magazine cover and boast about how well it turned out last week. Scariest thing about it is not the Red Devil (forget what that brand was for, but I can still picture the little fork-tailed cartoon) red layer. It is also not the toilet-cleaner blue layer. The impossible tub-caulking white layer in the middle, complete with fake waves, gets my vote. Iโ€™m sure the ingredients list hairspray for extra hold. It would, therefore, be THE perfect dessert to serve the current occupants of the White House and their friends. Itโ€™s a floor polishโ€“they really need that right about nowโ€“and a dessert topping! But what security alert level do those colors represent?
