During a recent trip to Iceland, I visited a number of bakeries which make what are considered to be in the Danish tradition. Sbrisolona

Like the recent recipe for Caramelized Almond Cake, Iโ€™ve been anxious to make Sbirolona, a crunchy Italian tortaย that sort of defies description. Spiced Plum Cake with Toffee Glaze

What is Almond Flour?

Is almond flour the same as almond meal or ground almonds? Yes and no. Ground up almonds go by the names powdered almonds, almond meal, and almond powder.
