Chocolate Chip โ€œKitchen Sinkโ€ Cookies

Being confined for two weeks has been, um, interesting. As someone who works at home, I was, like, โ€œI got thisโ€ฆโ€ But by day two I started getting loopy. As much as I think Romain is the greatest thing ever, itโ€™s hard to be cooped up and not allowed to go out. True, we can go to the grocery store or bakery if we bringโ€ฆ

Concord Grape Shrub and Cocktail

One of my favorite things, or some of my favorite things, I should say, are Concord grapes. I grew up eating them as a snack, as well as in jams, jellies, and even desserts. When I popped the lid off the first one, I wasnโ€™t prepared for the overwhelming aromas, some familiar โ€“ dill and garlic, and others with unidentifiable seeds and spices. She shared some ofโ€ฆ

Culinary Confessions

I often cook pasta in not enough water. I wash mushrooms. I donโ€™t grind my own coffee beans. I melt chocolate in a bowl set in, not over, simmering water. I hate soup as a first course. I buy store-brand butter for baking. I try to use as few pots and pans when I cooking as I can. I lift the lid when cooking riceโ€ฆ
