Chocolate Caramel Cake

Iโ€™ve got a number of chocolate cakes in my repertoire, from a super-denseย Chocolate Orbit Cakeย to soft, warm Chocolate Dulce de Leche Cakes, from My Paris Kitchen. And they all share one thing in common: a lot of chocolate. Iโ€™m not much for adding things that detract from the chocolate flavor, so I shy away from adding raspberries or other fruits and berries, or layering themโ€ฆ

Purple Paris

I was buying a bike recently and, for some reason, the store offered the bike I wanted in two shades: black and prune (plum), one of the many variations on purple (which include, but are not limited to, violet, purple, and magenta) in the French vocabulary. White Chocolate Cake with Lemon Glaze

Itโ€™s curious when people say, โ€œI donโ€™t like white chocolate. I like dark chocolate.โ€ Because itโ€™s not fair to compare them, just like black tea is different from green tea. The recent issue of Elle ร  Table reports that eating a croissant may be a healthier and a more diet-friendly alternative the breakfast tartine, a split baguette spread with butter and jam. A croissant ordinaire or croissant au beurre (made with pure butter) has 200 calories, and 25 grams of carbohydrates.
