I tend to forget about gremolata, the simple three-ingredient condiment that has a particular affinity for lamb, but is also good on grilled fish, vegetables, and other meats. Coffee-Braised Lamb Shanks

When I moved to France, I was surprised that lamb shanks were somewhat hard to find. Many butchers sold all sorts of cuts of lamb, including lamb shoulders, ribs, and cutlets, but shanks proved elusive. Then I learned that you had to ask for them; for some reason, theyโ€™re always kept in the back. Iโ€™m not sure why, since itโ€™s my favorite cut of lambโ€ฆ

I think Iโ€™ve been speaking in too many superlatives lately. Itโ€™s just Iโ€™ve been fortunate to be traveling and finding so many great places. Either that, or itโ€™s just my American side coming out, the one that tends to speak in superlatives. Still (or โ€œOh my God!โ€, as we say), whenever I find something amazing, I canโ€™t help but going a little loopy over itโ€ฆ.
