Of all the books I own on French cuisine, Letโ€™s Eat France is one of my favorites. First up, the book is huge. I donโ€™t mean in terms of scope, which it is. But physically the book is enormous. Last time I was in the states, because I had a few hours to spend strapped in a seat (on an airplane, folksโ€”it wasnโ€™t Folsom Street Fair weekend), a friend gave me a stack of magazines which track the comings and going of various celebrities.
