Favorite Cookbooks of 2010

2010 was a very big year for cookbooks. And when I say โ€œbigโ€, I donโ€™t just mean there were plenty of great cookbooks published this year, but some of them were huge. Ready for Dessert tipped the bakerโ€™s scale at over 3-pounds, and subsequent books that continued throughout the year tested the limits of my strength, such as Bon Appรฉtit Desserts, which weighs in atโ€ฆ

Socca, v1.0โ€ฆv1.6โ€ฆv1.9โ€ฆ

A reader recently inquired that her and her husband were planning to visit France and since he couldnโ€™t tolerate any gluten, is there anything that I could recommend? She had attached a list of words in French for acceptable grains, like oatmeal and barley, So I flipped through my French dictionary and looked under Special Dietary Needs, but there was a blank space.
