Weekend Links

Iโ€™ve been scrambling to get caught up on, wellโ€ฆeverything. Included on my sizable to-do list is a rather long blog post thatโ€™s hopefully going to be worth the wait. (Ya never knowโ€ฆ) There are also a few tech issues behind-the-scenes here on the blog that need tending to, even though Iโ€™d rather be baking. There isโ€ฆor wasโ€ฆa cashew brittle recipe that didnโ€™t quite work outโ€ฆ

Favorite Links this Weekend

Weโ€™re buckling down for a heatwave thatโ€™s on its way, with temperatures heading up to 40ยบC (104ยบF). Fortunately Iโ€™ve got a small stockpile of fans Iโ€™ve been collecting over the years, and few bottles of rosรฉ in the refrigerator. (And my refrigerator actually has an ice-maker.) One of the first that caught my eye was the โ€œPizza beansโ€ in Smitten Kitchen Every Day. It alsoโ€ฆ

Blogger Boules

Spending a day and a half flying somewhere is easily mitigated by any activity involving drinks a few feet from the crystal-blue Caribbean with friends. And what better way to while away a lazy afternoon with a little food blogger bocce?

Braised Short Ribs Recipe

When I was in the states last year, I was in a coffee shop and for some reason, I got into a conversation with some local folks, who asked what I was doing in their city. Iโ€™m not sure how they knew I wasnโ€™t from around there, but I can only assume it was my French je ne sais quoi, which is always a sureโ€ฆ
