During the summer, at outdoor flea markets and brocantes, youโ€™ll invariably find me on my hands and knees, rifle through boxes that are jammed with stuff, since ya never know what youโ€™ll pluck out. Paris Flea Markets and Thrift Stores

When I lived in a small apartment, I had to pass on many of the great things I would find at flea markets and antique sales in Paris. As Parisians say: โ€œSomething inโ€ฆsomething outโ€ โ€“ meaning that if you brought something into your apartment, you had to get rid of something else to make room for it. La Brocante

In my previous post, a reader commented on the picture of a restaurant that I used, which obviously wasnโ€™t the restaurant that I visited (which would be both cool, but very Twilight Zone.) Still, you canโ€™t argue with a depiction of a restaurant where every table has a bottle of red wine on it and the parents are blowing cigarette smoke in their kids facesโ€ฆ.
