Thankfully, we are over that brief period of the year when the only fruits at the market are apples and pears, with a few persimmons and quince thrown in for good measure. I eat a salad almost every day. I grab a big bowl, make dressing in it, then toss in whatever ingredients I have on hand. Split Pea Soup

We donโ€™t always get snow in Paris in the winter. But when we do,ย it blanketsย the city with a brilliantย layer of snow. It illuminates what can be gray and drab, and brightens things up when everyoneโ€™s spirits areย beginning to sag.
